This mid 19th century centrepiece was crafted by the Baccarat French company and is wrought from crystal and ormolu. Ormolu adorns the rim of the bowl and at each sides the handles are in the form of scrolled leaves and grapes. The crystal body is formed diamond or pyramid shaped ridges and is supported on an ormolu base decorated with scrolled acanthus leaves.
