A COALPORT DESSERT SERVICE BY STEPHEN LAWRENCE Circa 1840, the moulded rims picked out in yellow and gilt, the centres finely painted with botanical studies to reserves edged in gilt against a dark blue ground.
Service comprising 10 dessert plates, , two oval dishes, 2 round shallow dishes, 2 diamond shaped dishes and an oval footed tazza. Gilt painted no.4/412. (8) Footnotes Geoffrey Godden in Coalport and Coalbrookdale Porcelains identified pattern 4/412 from the fifth pattern book 1840-41 as the work of Stephen Lawrence.
