Coalport 1820's Turqouise Exhibition Schneeballen Vase, Decorated With Birds & Canaries, Turqoise Leafs And Branches Accompanied With A Reticulated Cross Etching Pattern. Handle Decorated With An Assortment Of Flowers & Roses With Birds In Perfect Condition Gilded With 24k Gold Leaf. The lid is made up of a porcelian bouquet of hanpainted encrusted flowers.This same vase is on display at the Okada Museum in Japan. Due to its rarity and the wide range of colours, was not known for doing Schneeballens but after the huge success from the Meissen Schneeballen vases, each factory decided to do their own, Coalport was the only other factory along the lines with H&R Daniel to fully immitate the best schneballens with a perfect finish exceeding Meissens quality and colours. Thus making this vase very sort after. Reticulated and a wide of range of colours being used, putting it on the same level of Meissen quality. This vase with the turqouise leaves and vines and boasts different types of birds of varying sizes all displayed over the vase.
