A Stunning Royal Worcester Dessert Service, Circa 1915. Each piece Handpainted with an arrangement of fruits, signed by G.H Cole, inside a cobalt blue border reserved with gilt-framed flower panels. In between these floral panels are richly gilded floral decorations that accentuates the cobalt blue border. Each decorated with various handpainted fruit vignettes sits in the central reserve. Signature can be seen at the edge of this vignette. G.H. Cole was a Royal Worcester artist who specialises in painting fruits.
This set comprises two shaped square dishes, 9 inches. wide, two shell shaped dishes, 9.5 inches wide, twelve plates, 9.5 inches in diameterand consists of sixteen pieces in total.
Condition is excellent for age. No restoration.
Among the most popular of the English porcelain factories amongst collectors is Royal Worcester. The Worcester porcelain company was founded in 1751.
